Is PeonSlayer safe?
Last updated 22 October 2026
Fair question. A program that presses keys for you should explain itself, so here is everything PeonSlayer does on your PC, with nothing left out. It is not a keylogger: nothing you type is recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.
What it looks at
- Only the World of Warcraft window: the small PeonSlayer icon that its addon draws in WoW, which tells the launcher the next spell.
- It does not take screenshots of your desktop, your browser, or any other program.
Which keys it checks, and why
Only while WoW is the window in front, and only whether a key is down at that moment:
- Enter and Esc, so it knows when WoW's chat box is open and never types into your chat.
- Whether a letter key is held, so it waits while you type.
- Its own pause hotkey, Ctrl+P.
There is no record of what you type: no log of keys, no text, nothing kept or sent. When WoW is not in front, it ignores the keyboard completely.
What it presses
- Your own WoW keybinds, sent to the WoW window only. Never to Discord, a browser, or anything else.
What it sends over the internet
- To the PeonSlayer licence server: your PeonSlayer sign-in, and a licence check (your account, an ID for this PC, and which version you run).
- Spell icon pictures, downloaded from wow.zamimg.com (Wowhead's image server).
- Updates, from downloads.peonslayer.com.
- Only when you press Report: what the launcher did lately (which spells it saw, the keys it found on your action bars), so we can fix your problem.
- If the launcher itself hits an error (a bug in PeonSlayer), the error: its message, which lines of PeonSlayer it came through, and the version. Folder names are cut to the file name, so your Windows user name is not in it. Never the activity, keys, or files.
Nothing else: no files, no screenshots, no passwords for WoW or anything else.
Your WoW login
Auto-login is optional. If you use it, your WoW account name and password stay on your PC, encrypted by Windows for your Windows user only, and are never sent anywhere. Leave it empty and nothing is kept.
MultiPeon, only if you turn it on
A multiboxer copies your keys and mouse clicks to your other WoW windows. To do that, while a WoW window is in front, MultiPeon listens to them so it can copy them across. They are not saved and not sent anywhere. Off unless you switch MultiPeon on.
Check it yourself
- No admin rights. It installs into your own user folder with no administrator prompt, and Windows' Apps list uninstalls it completely.
- The addon is plain text. Open
Interface\AddOns\PeonSlayer\PeonSlayer.luain Notepad and read every line. - Check your download. Every release's SHA-256 fingerprint is posted in our Discord's #releases. Compare it with yours:
certutil -hashfile PeonSlayer-Setup.exe SHA256. You can also upload the file to VirusTotal. - Try it free first. One class for an hour, no payment and no key: start a free hour.
- Read what buyers say. Only verified buyers can post in our Discord's #vouches.
Why an antivirus may warn about it
Windows SmartScreen and some antivirus programs warn about any program that is new and not yet code-signed, and anything that presses keys looks like a macro tool to them. That is a judgment about how new and unusual a program is, not something found inside it. Code signing is on the way.
Until then: on the blue Windows protected your PC box, press More info, then Run anyway. And only ever download PeonSlayer from peonslayer.com or our Discord: a copy from anywhere else is not ours.
What PeonSlayer never does
- It does not read or change WoW's memory, and injects nothing into the game.
- It does not record your keyboard, take screenshots, or read your files.
- It does not ask for administrator rights or install drivers or services.
- It does not run when you close it: no background service is left behind.
Still unsure?
Ask us anything in our Discord (#is-it-safe and #support), or read our OwnedCore thread. What we store about your account is in our terms and privacy page.
One honest note: automation breaks the rules of most private servers, Warmane included. PeonSlayer is safe for your PC; whether to use it on your account is your call.
