How to use PeonSlayer
Everything from your first start to playing in combat. Ten minutes of setup, then it plays your rotation for you. Stuck at any point? Open a ticket in our Discord.
1. Get a licence and sign in
- Buy a plan on the website or in the launcher's Shop (bottom of the launcher). You pay in crypto and the key appears as soon as the payment confirms.
- Make an account in the launcher, or on your account page. It's the same account in both places.
- Redeem the key in the launcher, or on the account page. Bought while signed in? The launcher adds it for you, and the site's thank-you page has an Add to my account button.
- Your days start when you redeem, and a second key adds its days on top.
2. Install and start
- Download PeonSlayer.exe: the button on the thank-you page after you buy, Download the launcher on your account page, or Get my download link in our Discord's #download channel. Downloads come with a licence, and each link lasts 30 minutes. No installer: keep it anywhere.
- Sign in. Under World of Warcraft, press Change once and pick your WoW 3.3.5a folder (the one with Wow.exe).
- Press Launch WoW. The launcher puts its addon in place for you. The very first time, restart WoW once so it finds the addon.
- Updates come to you: when a new version is out, the launcher shows Update now.
3. WoW settings
- Windowed mode: Video options, tick Windowed mode and Maximized. It still fills your screen, but the overlay can show on top and screen recorders work.
- Enemy nameplates on (press V). PeonSlayer counts enemies by their nameplates, so with them off it never uses area spells.
- Leave the PeonSlayer icon (below the middle of your screen) and the top-left corner uncovered. That's how the launcher reads what the addon wants.
4. Keybinds: the one thing to get right
PeonSlayer presses your own keys. So every spell in your rotation needs to be on an action button that has a keybind.
- Put your spells on your action bars, with keys such as 1–0, -, =, and Shift or Ctrl versions of them. The launcher reads the keys straight off your bars: see the Action bar tab.
- A spell somewhere else, or a key the launcher can't read? Type it into the Keybinds tab, for example S-4 for Shift+4 or C-9 for Ctrl+9.
- If the launcher says Not on a keybound button, the spell the addon wants has no key. Put it on a bar with a key and it carries on.
5. Playing
- Target an enemy and fight. The addon picks the best next spell and the launcher presses it the moment it's ready.
- Ctrl+P pauses and starts it again, from inside the game.
- Your class and spec are picked up from the game (Auto-detect on the Rotation tab). Turn it off to choose them yourself.
- It holds off while you type in chat, are casting, or are placing a ground spell.
- In WoW, type /ps why to see which spell shows, and why each spell above it doesn't.
6. The overlay, and changes in combat
- Press Overlay on the launcher's Now casting card. A small card floats over WoW with the spell, its key and the cooldown bar.
- Drag it anywhere, chat included. It won't stay on top of the PeonSlayer icon or your action buttons, because the launcher needs to see those. Right-click it to close it.
- It never takes the keyboard from WoW, so you can click it mid-fight:
- Pause / Start.
- Auto · PvE · PvP: Auto plays the PvP rotation in battlegrounds, arenas and against enemy players, and PvE everywhere else. PvE or PvP forces one.
- ◀ ▶: step through the rotations you have for your spec.
7. Rotations: pick, edit, share
- The Rotation tab shows the rotation for your spec, step by step. Use PvE / PvP to see either one, and the list to pick another.
- Edit a copy makes your own version: reorder steps, add conditions, save it on this PC.
- Share code copies a code anyone can paste into Import. Submit sends yours to us; approved rotations become available to every player.
- Every class and spec has PeonSlayer's own PvE and PvP rotation built in.
8. The in-game settings
- Left-click the PeonSlayer button at your minimap to open its settings; right-click it to switch the addon off and on.
- General: voice callouts and volume, DBM timers, and the spec to play (or Auto).
- Spells: untick any spell and the rotation skips it, for example a big cooldown you want to press yourself.
9. Healing a party
- Healer rotations heal whoever needs it most. To pick them, the launcher presses F1–F5: WoW's default keys to target yourself and party members 1 to 4.
- Keep those five keys on their default targets, and your heals on keybound buttons.
10. MultiPeon
- MultiPeon is the multiboxer: play several WoW windows from the one in front. Open it with the MultiPeon button in the launcher (it needs a MultiPeon licence).
- Accounts: add your WoW logins (kept encrypted on this PC) and Launch all. The first account is the main window.
- Keys: pick the keys copied to every window. Leave movement keys off so the others follow rather than walk on their own.
- Windows: see each game, and the hotkeys to make the others follow or assist the main, or swap which window is the main.
11. Discord and your account
- Join at discord.gg/peonslayer. Type /link there with your licence key, or with the code from Account → Discord in the launcher or on your account page, for the Subscriber role.
- The launcher can show what you're playing on your Discord profile. Turn it off with Discord: on/off at the bottom of the launcher.
- Your licence works on one PC. Moving to a new one? Open a ticket for a PC reset.
12. When something's not right
- "Not on a keybound button": the spell the addon wants has no key. See Keybinds.
- "Waiting for the addon" all the time: the addon isn't loaded or can't be seen. Restart WoW once after the first install, check that it's in a window, and keep the PeonSlayer icon uncovered.
- No area spells: turn enemy nameplates on (V).
- Wrong class or spec: turn on Auto-detect on the Rotation tab, or pick the right ones there.
- Healer won't heal party members: keep F1–F5 on WoW's default targeting.
- The overlay won't show over WoW: use windowed mode (see WoW settings).
- Anything else: press Report at the bottom of the launcher. It sends us what happened, and we can see it right away.
